Maru and Kiruko search for the raygun mark, which they believe is the key to finding "Heaven," and arrive at the Takahara Academy facility in Nara. There they find a prosperous town administered by the Ministry of Kansai Reconstruction. However, they are discovered by Takezuka, who has followed them.
